The Stan Parker Foundation is honored to host the 14th Annual Veterans Appreciation Luncheon on Wednesday, August 27, at 11:00 a.m. at the Lee Lockwood Library & Museum in Waco, Texas.
This complimentary luncheon is exclusively for veterans as a way to honor their service and sacrifice. RSVP is required to attend. Please email stancparkerfoundation@gmail.com to be added to the guest list.
Guests will enjoy a full BBQ meal with all the trimmings, free of charge, as we come together to celebrate and thank those who have served.
We are privileged to welcome Retired Marine Corps Sergeant Major James E. Booker as this year’s guest speaker. Sgt. Maj. Booker, a Silver Star recipient, served over 32 years in the United States Marine Corps, holding leadership roles at every level, including Senior Enlisted Leader for the International Security Assistance Force and United States Forces–Afghanistan. With 44 months of combat experience across multiple conflicts—including Operations Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Iraqi Freedom, and Enduring Freedom—he brings an unparalleled perspective on service, sacrifice, and leadership.
Sgt. Maj. Booker’s personal awards include the Silver Star, Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit, Bronze Star with “V” device, and Combat Action Ribbon. His distinguished career reflects an enduring commitment to duty and the highest traditions of the Marine Corps.
This luncheon continues the mission begun by Stan Parker, who founded the Stan Parker Foundation to serve and support veterans through advocacy, appreciation events, and direct assistance programs.
